Introduction In this guide I will explain in detail how you can make money and achieve a steady income from PTC (Paid To Click) websites . I have personally made $1,000s of dollars across 6 PTC sites in the last 6 months . All this was possible thanks to my referrals - other people who essentially earn an income for themselves, whilst providing a share for myself. Without referrals, I wouldn't even achieve $100 per month! This guide will teach you about PTC sites and acquisition of referrals. Once you have setup your network of referrals , you can make $ 100 to $10 ,000 per mon th with minimal amount of effort on your behalf. Essentially, your referrals will earn you a steady income, and the more referrals you have, the more you will earn! Tremendous amount of time has been spent on the research of how to earn a good and steady income from participation on PTC sites. T he information gathered is now available to you in this guide. I have ensured to make all the information as clear as possible and simple to understand, even to those unfamiliar to PTC sites and the indus try. What is a PTC website A Paid -To-Click site is a website based program that pays you to click advertisement s and participate in various offers . Paid To Click or PTC websites are the easiest and quickest way s to legitimately earn money online. These websites let you make money without tiresome effort, require no skills, and are absolutely free. All you have to do is click a few ads, read a few emails or complete a few surveys. Many PTC websites require you to click on an ad and view it for about 30 sec onds to earn. When your account balance reaches the minimum payout value, you can request for a payout. Payments are generally made to a PayPal or AlertPay account. Staying active in a number of these programs lets you earn steady and regular online income. However, due to the boom in PTC industry, there are more scam sites out there than genuine ones. H ow PTC sites work PTC sites essentially pay you to click ads , view offers and visit websites. The process is quiet simple! Once an ad is presented to you, you click on that ad and browse the webpage opened for the time required . After the time has passed, the reward is credited to your account balance. In general, PTC sites pay y ou anywhere between $0.005 to $0.05 per each ad click/view. Furthermore, many PTC sites allow you to earn a lot more money by rewarding you with money your referrals earn! Each of your referrals can earn you anywhere from $0.001 to $0.01 per ad click/view - again depending on the PTC site. Payment requests can be made virtually any time through PayPal and AlertPay, so long as you exceed the minimum payment threshold which ranges from $1 to $25. Income Example  You click 10 ads per day: $0.10  5 0 0 referrals click 10 ads each per day: $ 5 0 .00  Your daily earnings: $50 .10  Your weekly earnings: $35 0 .70  Your monthly earnings: $ 1 402.80 The above example is based only on 50 0 referrals and 10 daily clicks. Some days you will have more clicks available, some days you will have less, a nd same goes for your referrals. Requirements for using PTC sites  You need an email address - I recommend Gmail. It h as excellent anti spam control which can come in very handy  You need a PayPal account  You need an AlertP ay account  1 hour a day of your own time. I recommend you to invest at maximum 1 hour a day once you've established your referral network. Initially, you should invest more time in order to setup your referral network and learn the best practices and skills required to succeed in this industry. Scoping out SCAMS / Legitimate Sites There are thousands of paid to cli ck websites on the Internet and with that much money making programs, you can expect different experiences from site to site . Some users have had bad experiences. T his is not always the fault of the PTC website, but generally the whole industry has got a bad name because of many 'fly-by-night' operators that open a BUX website for a few months and then disappear. One of the main reasons is they don’t really know what they are doing and how much work and effort is involved. Remember almost every PTC will have some bad reviews and this is normal because ther e are so many people using them. Unfortunately, not everyone will be happy for different reasons, so make sure you spend some time researching the sites you want to p articipate in . Fortunately for you, I will teach you how to identify scams, and on top of that, included at the end of this guide is a wealthy list of all the proven scam sites . Avoiding scam sites: Research Background Check the business record by going to whois.net and also BBB. You can read how many complaints on the said establishment. Find out if there's any company name or contact number listed for the site/ company. Also, attempt to search for the feedback of the site and if you cannot take the risks then do not apply with such site . If the site ha s a n actual physical address, it is worthwhile to check if they are genuinely located at those premises . You may send them emails, even call them to prove that a real person answer s your calls and your emails and gi ves you answers to your specific questions and not a n automatic mail with canned responses. PTC Investigations - PTC / GPT Site Reviews This is not a PTC site but it's one of the most useful sites I've ever stumbled across on the interne t as far as making money goes. This site lists MANY PTC sites that one can use to make money. The best places to look is under the "Trusted Sites ", "The Elite " or "Legit Sites ". If you look in these lists, you will find many PTC sites you can sign up with and start making mo ney on the side. There is tons of useful information on this site so take some time, click around and read the comments. PTC Investigations compl etely lays it all out for you. They review PTC sites, an d let you know if it ' s a scam or if it's legit. It's very useful to search for a site here before you sign up. They have proof of payments and much more. It really will be beneficial for you to po ke around here and read a bit. IT WILL PAY OFF LATER! Don’t Join Non -Customized Sites When finding a new site, look at the layout - is it professional and unique ? This may not seem like a major influencing factor to legitimacy of the site, but it most definitely is. If the layout is visually unpleasant , they pr obably didn't put much time and effort into it. Some sites are just generally bad looking or covered in advert isement s. T his is a bad factor . You want to find a site that is professional, custom and in it for the long run . If they were in it for the long run, the y would make their site unique and would have invested into a professional outcome. Don't Purchase Anything! If you find a n ew site that seems " le gitimate" and are considering purchasing something - don't. If the site is new with no real member bas e and no evident payment proofs, don't join. Let the site run for at least 4 month s before purchasing upgrades to be on the safe side . Don't Join Sites of Past Scammers If the site owner is known to of scammed in the past, don't join the site. If they have scammed once, they will scam again, don't take the chance. Don't Use Sites without Support/Forums If the PTC site doesn't have a decent support system or a forum where an administrator is active, don't use it. You should always try to get in touch with the administrator, even if you send a simple enquiry to their email address or via a "Contact Us" form. If the admin doesn't make contact within 2 business days, you should avoid the site altogether. Check the member list and the pay rate A site that attempt to hide the members list or how much they pay and try to be unclear about how they conduct business it’s probably got something to hide. Check the sites payouts in the forums and at their proofs page. Note that it is easy to make up ‘proofs’ so read in the forums about real people that have received payouts. Read the TOS, FAQ and the help sections of the site In the TOS (Terms of Service , or Terms and Conditions ) you ca n find a lot of answers to questions you may have. You should pay careful attention to the TOS and also make sure to read thoroughly through the site's FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and the support section . Sustainability "Sustainability is a characteristic of a process or state that can be maintained at a certain level indefinitel y." (Wikipedia) In PTC terms, when a site is sustainable that means it can survive for years. A PTC which is charging less money than it pays it is unsusta inable and cannot live forever. U nsustainable sites are scams, period. It is inevitable that sites paying $1 to $100 per click are scams. Generally you can expect to earn $0.001 to $0.01 per click (standard member). As for your referrals, you can expect to earn anywhere from $0.0025 to $0.005 per each click. Sites paying more than $0.005 per referral's cl ick ( standard member) are unsustainable no matter what their advertising rates may be. Only one or two PTC sites can pay more than $0.005 per ref erral's click and ultimately survive. Blacklists There are many websites and blogs that keep an updated track of all the PTC sites that do not meet their end of the agreement. These SCAM sites should be avoided at all times so to ensure you are not wasting your time when you can be making money on other sites that do pay . I have sourced a list containing all the p roven scam sites online today. You can find this list at towards the end of this guide. Likewise, I have put together a list of all the proven sites out there that you can join with and participate. Staying Safe Never use your own money You never know if the site you have invested your time and money in will turn out to be a scam, so if you’re going to invest, use money you have made from the site or other PTC sites. If you must invest money then don’t put more that $30 -$40 as keep it low so you can get i t back fast Protect your PC Of course you already know that you must protect your computer from viruses, spyware etc. So you must have good antivirus/antispyware/firewall software. Also I suggest you use Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock Plus and NoScript add-ons . Don't forget to clear all cookies (and if you want all personal data) when you logout from a PTC site. The new versions of chrome and IE 8 Come with built in ‘cloaked surfing, Firefox will not be far behind. Do not use the same password on all PTC site s Some scammers create new PTC sites because they want to "steal" your personal sensitive information. If you do not want to see your accounts hacked do not use the same password in every PTC site. Sometimes a PTC site may get hacked, and the hacker wil l then try the same user name and password on various other accounts, emails, gateways, PTC sites etc… A good suggestion is to use 2-4 different usernames too. Finally if you join the forum of a site, it is recommended that you use a different email account (and of course a unique password). Forums are being hacked usually easier in comparison with the main site. Do not cheat You will be banned, Don’t do it! Invest only if you can afford to lose all your money This is a basic rule applying not only in PTC, but in every type of investment. When investing, you are taking a risk: you may get your money back plus some earnings, you may lose it all. Don't invest in new sites. The word "new" does not mean only sites which are only a few weeks old, but also and sites in which you are new member. It is recommended that you avoid investing in new sites and that you be member for a short period (and get paid too) in a site before you invest. Making money using PTC sites The secret is to sign up with multiple sites and click links simultaneously on the different sites you signed up to. If you registered for 10 accounts that serve 10 offers per day, paying a cent per click, you will have earned your first dollar today. Step 1 The first step to maximizing your profits i s to a pick a few PTC sites that you really like. Do not join every single PTC site out there and be very careful which sites you choose. I have included a great list of all the legitimate and paying PTC sites online. You can find this list towards the end of this guide. There is also a list showing you all the sites to stay away from. Do not join more than 50 PTC sites as you may not be able to work on them all on a daily basis! Step 2 The second step to maximizing your income is to only work on those site s that you picked out. It might be hard to only pick a few sites but it will help you in the long run. I mean sure you can join a lot of sites and do a few offers here and there on each site, however it will take you a long time to reach cash out. You migh t even get in trouble for fraud for doing the same offer twice. Lots of sites use different names for each offer. So it can be hard to know if you have done the offer or not in the past . It is easier when you are working with a limited amount of sites, but trustworthy sites. Step 3 The third step is to promote only the sites you are working on. I have come across sources online where they urge you to promote all the sites you join. If you join a site and do not click on their offers, you will not find out if they really pay or not. You do not want potential referrals join ing a site that will not pay them. If you own a website or a blog , you do not want potential referrals to see banners all over the place promoting exaggerated amounts of sites. It might ov erwhelm them and they may not want to join any sites because there are far too many to choose from . You only want to promote the sites that you are currently working with and sites that you have been paid from. You want your potential referral s to understa nd that you trust the sites you promote . Step 4 The fourth step to maximizing your income is to keep a look out for when your PTC sites are having contests. Most PTC sites at present offer multiple contests during a single month. You have a chance to win free prizes for completing the most offers, getting the most referrals, and so forth . Make sure to check the contests and complete those offers so you can win some prizes. Step 5 The fifth step is to make sure you know how much payout is. GPT payouts are usually higher than PTC ones because you can easily earn more money on a GPT site. I would say if you join a PTC site make sure the payout is not high and it will not take you forever to reach payout. If payout is over $11, I would not waste my time workin g on that site because it would take forever to reach payout. For me, I hate waiting forever to reach a payout on a click site because you do not make much on PTC. I can usually deal with the $10 payout but if it is $20 no thanks. It is not worth my computer getting a virus or spyware for only $20. Step 6 When you have decided which site you will be using and promoting make sure you become a premium member for that site, this will increase your per click amount and also speed up your payout time. Don’t be come a premium member until you have accumulated at least 10 referrers. An keep clicking, don’t neglect sites for to o long or your account will become dormant and you will los e all your money and referrers. More Tips Join at least 10 to 20 programs that a re proven, trusted and that pays on time. Do multi tasking; use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet explorer. It is much safer. Open 5 -10 Different websites at a time and while you click on ads of one site immediately click on ads of 2nd site and then 3rd, 4th, 5th... Have patience clicking ads and don't give up even if you're clicking on your own, once you manage to reach your payout don't spend it, invest first in buying or renting referrals from your own favourite PTC site. This may guarantee that you wi ll earn reasonable profits in the near future. Once you are earning a steady supply of cash, that's the right time to spend it for your own pleasure. You might even earn more... Once you have been a member for a while and see for yourself that the site does pay, you might consider upgrading your membership or buying referrals. Upgrading your membership: Most PTC sites offer a premium membership (it might be called something different, though, like gold). This premium membership has many benefits: an incre ase in the amount that each click pays, an increase in the amount that you earn from your referral's clicks, and even an increase in the number of clicks available to you. Upgrading can virtually double your earnings, and is often inexpensive and well wort h it! Buying Referrals: Most sites will offer sets of un-referred members that can be added to your down line for a price. This price varies, but usually it is well worth it. You should keep in mind that the site will not guarantee that the members will remain active. They will be active at the time that you buy them, but most sites will not replace members who become inactive. This action can increase your earnings by hundreds, because your referrals will earn for you. It is important to be sure that the site is legitimate before you make a purchase with your own money, because few sites offer refunds or replacements for inactive referrals. If you want to purchase referrals or a Premium Membership, but you are not sure that you should trust the site, most sites allow you to purchase those things with your earnings. Until you are sure, you will just have to get referrals the old fashioned way - traffic exchanges! PTC Expert Guide Getting Referral s Getting referrals is a big part of how successful you are investing time in Paid -to -Click (PTC), Paid-to -Read (PTR), affiliate programs, or any other program where referrals have a direct impact on your income. Increasing the amount of referrals you have dramatically increases the amount of money you make. You will realise that there are many other people in the same situation trying to get people to join via their ref links also. So its as hard as cracking nuts. Follow some of these tips and your sure to have some more ref's in no time. So how do you actually get referrers I wil l examine the ways to get people to join using your refer link. Getting referrers takes some effort and some time, but you can get a lot of referrers take the time to try and get them, for example, while you are doing your clicking open another tab and si gnup/post on some forums, add a post to your blog, all you need is 1 hour a day and you can click all your ads o n 5-10 different sites and do some advertising all at the same time. Everyone is trying to get referrers so what can you do to have an edge and be the one who gets MORE referrers than the competition? H ere are some tips for you. Forums / Message Boards Place referral links in your signature, Create a post containing your referral links, and Link the "www" under your avatar to your forum post, now every time you write a response the signature well placed automatic under your response. Don’t try to add links to your response because than you going to be a "spammer" and spammers get bend from all forums. This is very important! Some good forums to po st on are your general forums about working from home as these people are looking for ways to make more income working from home. See the resource section at the end of this guide for a list of forums. Blogs and Websites A blog or website will help you keep track of the PTC sites you are currently one, it will also allow you to review some of the sites you have tried and advertise some of the ones you are currently using or trying out, basically the nice thing about a blog is that it’s a great way to keep track of what your currently doing in the PTC worked and to make this public so that you can make money from ad sense as well as gaining referrers to the PTC sites you are promoting. Try using one of the free blog sites around to start with and if your happy then move to a more permanent one with your won domain name. Also you can promote your blog link in your forum postings too. This may be the most time -consuming of all the methods, depending on how much time you spend on it. BUT, it is well worth the effort if you do it right. PTC Expert Guide Page 12 / 33 Squidoo is a perfect site to use as it gets tons of traffic and attention. Plus, you get to see how many people visit your lens as well as what links they click on. For the best results, yo u should build a lens that is informative, nice to look at, and well-organized. If you build your lens well, you will get a high ranking and your lens will be featured on Squidoo search, and you will get tons of visits. You should take some space on your lens to explain what PTC is. This is in case a visitor comes to your site with no prior knowledge of PTC's. You want to explain it in a way that is simple and inviting, but do NOT exaggerate. Please, do not make fals e claims to get referrals. If you claim that they will make thousands a month, I promise that once they sign up and see 10 $.01 ads, they will do the math themselves. You don't just want signups, you want active referrals. To get active referrals, you have to show the visitor how they can succeed in this business. Otherwise, they will be discouraged by the small amounts they will earn at first. Emphasize patience and referrals. This is how they will make money with PTC's, and if they make money, you make mo ney. When you post your referral links (preferably banners), do not just string them all together, this is unappealing as well as uninformative. Visitors are impressed by numbers and stats. Tell a little bit about each one, do you have any comments on it? Which are your favourites? Fastest earners? Just give all the information that you think is relevant. This will inform the reader that you have put thought into it. The last thing you have to do is promote your site. This can be done in many ways. Squidoo has a frame breaker embedded in its code, so it will not work in Traffic Exchanges. The best way to promote is to post your link everywhere. If you have a MySpace or facebook profile , post your link there. If you have another site on the web, link to your lens. Also, post your link on all the forums you belong to. You should email your friends and family. Submit your website URL to Yahoo and Google. You can also get visits to your site by joining a group related to your topic. This is great traffic because those people are most likely already interested in your s ubject - a rapt audience. If you build a site that is appealing, convincing, and informative, and you promote that site, you will get referrals. Not all your referrals will stay active, however many in fact will. Furthermore, the great fact is that they can leave you comments, so you can interact with them, help them, and encourage them to be active. Email Send an email to everyone you know who might like the PTC idea or want to find additional PTC sites. Don’t go spamming people! Use appropriate etiquette to all people you send your emails too! Refer people you know This might not be the best of ideas or appropriate in some situations but if you know some people out there who might like the idea of PTC then tell them about it and maybe tell them about your b log, website, forum post and so on. The nice thing about PTC sites is you can tell everyone about them and about your blog and they are all FREE to join so no one will get ‘hurt’ in the process if things go wrong, all they have lost is time not money, b ut do warn them that you are aware PTC sites PTC Expert Guide Page 13 / 33 have a bad reputation and that you are trying to only promote the ones you personally believe in. Live chat program s Advertising your referrals in online chat rooms and IM programs can get a lot of people’s atte ntion however make sure to use the appropriate etiquette and ensure not to break the house rules by spamming. Advertising in the real world Create flyer's and distribute them on public notice boards, hand to hand, advertising in newspapers, local newspaper and so on... make sure it’s appropriate and you obey any laws in your area. Y ou will be amazed at how effective this can be especially on public bill boards. Advertise on PTC and other types of sites Advertising using PTC sites, make sure that you don’t advertising in the same PTC site that you are try to get Referrals because people that see your ad is already registered to the same site. Advertising on PTC sites is relatively cheap for the number of people that you will get seeing your advert, but it’s not always very effective i.e. expect 1-2 referrals from every 500 -1000 views . Advertise at Free Traffic exchange sites Traffic Exchanges are basically sites that offer its members the ability to advertise their links and banners for free after viewing ot her links and banners. Here's how it works: You sign -up as a member of a Traffic Exchange site. You then must view ads like you do for PTC sites, but instead of getting paid for your clicks; you are able to advertise your banners and links. Traffic exchang es usually offer some type of ratio for exchange. For instance, a site that offers 1:1 ratio means that you can get one click on your referral link or banner for every one click that you make. You will surf for ad links in exchange for your own advertisements. Some of these sites may even pay you for surfing, so you will hit 2 birds in one stone.  www.easyhits4u.com  www.shareadspace.com  www.hogshollow.com  www.lords-of -traffic.com  www.royalsurf.com  www.ts25.com  www.traffic -splash.com  www.trafficera.com PTC Expert Guide Page 14 / 33 Making the most out of Traffic Exchanges: 1) Build a Splash Page! As you will see when you start surfing, you only have a brief moment to capture the viewers attention and get them to visit your site and sign up. If you don't, they will surf right past your page. So, you need a page that will load fast and get the surfer to click! In addition, often the signup page for your PTC is not all that inviting. You should do the selling if you want them to become your referral. Another important factor: sometimes when a surfer clicks on your Ref link, if they click onto another page to check out the website, you will no longer be their referral. You can avoid this by selling them on the site before they even click with a great splash page. So, where can you make a splash page? Splash pages are so simple and basic, that basically any page creator will work. I like Google Page Creator, as it is really basic and easy to use, and all you need is a Gmail account. Pages created with Google also load fast. 2) Plan to spend a few hours a day surfing. Try to spread your surfing time among several sites. This gives your site a broader audience. I would suggest surfing two or three at on ce; this is perfectly acceptable. 3) Make use of the bonuses that each site offers. Some sites offer huge bonuses that equal up to hundreds of views for your site. Take time to reach these bonuses and get free views for your site. Referral Exchange Sites One of the best ways to get referrals is to use sites that specialize in referral exchange. These sites offer its users the ability to get referrals in return for signing-up as a referral to someone else. The basic process works like this: You sign -up at a referral site as a member much like any PTC site. After you are a member you must then acquire credits that you will use later on as an incentive to get your referrals. You start by looking for a PTC, GPT, etc you want to join and the credits being offered by other members. You sign up for one that interests you and receive the offered amount of credits. Now you are able to offer those credits to someone else to join as a referral under you for whatever PTC site you want. These are the most popular referral sites:  www.getref.com  www.starreferrals.com  www.targetrefs.com  www.simplerefs.com  www.programrefs.com R ent / B uying Referrals These are the new trends in PTC today. You will be hiring packs of un -referred members for a month with much cheaper prices - let's say a pack of 10 members for just $3 per month. Furthermore whenever one of your members is inactive, you may replace them immediately the month after. This is a low risk investment! Purchasing un-referred members from the site is a common practice. The PTC site has many members who eith er did not sign up under anyone, or their referrer closed their account. These members then go on sale. You can buy them for a price usually ranging from $1 -$2 per referral. In most cases, you will only get members that have been active recently. This met hod of gaining referrals is the easiest, all you have to do is pay for them and the rest is done for you. There is huge earning potential. As your down line grows, your earnings grow rapidly. There is only one condition: Most sites will NOT guarantee that the members you buy will be active after you purchase them. You may pay for 50 referrals only to see a week later that 10 of them rarely click , or worst yet, never . Basically this is an "at your own risk" method of getting re ferrals. Another important fact to note is that y ou should not purchase referrals from a site that you do not completely trust. There is word spreading around the PTC community that some scam sites are selling bots (automated clickers) as referrals. If this happens, the bot will either click minimally or stop altogether. You should always be careful when investing your own money in a PTC site. Please remember this, I do not want you to get scammed! You should do the math yourself. When you purchase referrals, you should be able to make your money back in 2 months at most. Take into account how much you make off of referrals as well as how many ads the site has each day. Only purchase referral s from sites where you will start making profit after 2 months. Keeping your referr al s active It ’s hard enough acquiring a referral, hence you want to tr y and get your referral s to stay active and keep clicking for you actively. Below are some methods that may assist. What makes you click? Well it’s the promise of money and the amount of effort required to get the money, so you need to make your referral . The best way to do that is to give them information and support. Create a section on your blog with lots of valuable information to help your referrers understand how to make more money and why cl icking is worth the time, give them some resources on how to make their life easier. Help them plan their time and resources well so that clicking is not a pain for them, see end of document for some resources on making you life easier without cheating. Encourage your referrers to seek out referrers for themselves, if your referrer is making money you will be making money, concentrate on the referrers that you have recruited yourself, and not the ones you buy from the PTC or referral sharing sites. Don’t be nasty to them and don't get angry if they do not click. They do not have to click and it could ruin your reputation very quickly, simply move on and try recruit more referrers. The bottom line is educate your referrer so that they understand HOW they c an make money and if you can HELP them to get a couple of referrers for themselves, you could even run a competition amongst your referrers that whoever clicks the most in the next 20 days you will buy a set of referrers for them. Another thing you could do is ask the admin at the PTC website if you are able to ‘transfer’ referrers to your referrers, if they will allow this then you can purchase say 20 referrers and give 10 of your recruited referrers 2 referrers each when they reach $1 or $2 or whatever amount. What will happen is that your referrer will now have referrers and this will make them much keener to stay clicking! If the PTC site does not allow transfers of refer rals, you could find out if they will sell a block of 2 referrals and simply purchase 2 referrals as per above. This endeavour may appear as a waste of money, however in the long run it is better to have fewer active referrals than hundreds of in active referrals . Many of these active referrals may be your referrals on more than just one PTC site, which ultimately makes them a lot more valuable. Invest time in educating and convincing your referrals and it will pay off for the future . PTC Websites to start with To start off with, I'd like to present you the 2 most reliable sites out there, from whom I've received payments in the past for all my efforts. These 2 sites are here only to get you on your way to earning good money. As you get more and more involved and realise the potential, it is up to you to look for further opportunities usi ng the skills I will convey to you in this guide. Furthermore, I have put together a list of all the proven legitimate PTC sites online at present. You can find this list towards the end of this guide. NeoBux This site is by far my favourite and has the best track record in paying its members and making a lot of money for them. This website gives you anywhere from 4 to 10 ads per day to click within a 24 hour period of time as a standard member. This number jumps up to 10 to 20 a ds for every 24 hours if you're a golden member. The golden membership costs $90 and is WELL worth it, but you do not have to buy it. Becoming a Golden, then Ultimate member is a very good way of making money. You make the most amount of money by renting or acquiring your own referrals. The more referrals you get to sign up, the more money you will make. Right now, I have about 330 Direct referrals, 6000 or so rented referrals and am making a monthly profit of around $220 -270. The best part of the website is that you have so much information in the sites forum. Thousands of people like me and you write posts every day ranging from how to get more direct referrals to strategies on making more money with the rented referrals. This is a great tool that almost no other PTC(paid-to -click) site out there has. Again, I encourage you to sign up and spend some time looking around, clicking your daily ads, and reading the forums. It will take a couple of days or less to get the swing of things, but you'll pick up a l ot of ideas and information at this site. ClixSense This site is my second favourite! This site gives you many ads per day - anywhere from 5 -10 for standard (free) members and 10-25 for Premium ($10) members. They have a very low cost upgrade to a premium member and best of all, you can use the money you make clicking ads on the site, to upgrade to a premium member - which means absolutely no out of pocket cost to you! I highly recommend becoming a pre mium member! It's $10, but you'll make that back in about a month or so! After that, it's pure profit! Sign into the site a few times a day to see what ads are available to click on in the Browse Ads $$ section. They have a great track record of paying vi a check every month! The great part about this site is that it has two different ways of making money. You can click ads and make money, or use that money from clicking ads to advertise your other PTC websites. An example: let's say you sign up with NeoBux above, then you sign up with ClixSense. You click ads in ClixSense until you have enough money to advertise. You can now go to the Manage Ads section and post your NeoBux referral link to advertise your membership. This is a great way of getting direct referrals to your other PTC sites for free. Upgrading here is a must and is also free if you wait until you have $10 in your account from clicking the daily ads they provide. It may take a month or two to get there depending on where in the world you reside, but none the less, once you upgrade, you'll get even more ads to click. Best of all, if you refer other people like I'm referring you, you make money off of them as well. Every person you refer you will receive $0.10 and each person they refer you will make money. It's really just a great way of making money for just surfing the web like most of us do anyways.

Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Disclaimer Since this guide caters for all players, we will start slow to make sure all the basics are fully covered. If you are confident in your skills as a Farmville player, feel free to skip to the more advanced strategies later on in the guide and come back to earlier parts for reference. Introduction Everyday life is full of chaos and stress. We're always rushing to get our work done, get the kids to soccer practice, and get dinner on the table. There are cars and malls and big office buildings all around us. With this constantly hectic environment, it's not surprising that many people dream of escaping to a quiet place in the country for a while. That's just one of the reasons Farmville, a new game on Facebook, has been such a huge success in the short amount of time it's been online. Following in the fine tradition of other games by Zynga, Farmville allows players to design their own farm and interact with other players through Facebook. The tasks yo u can undertake on your farm include placing animals, planting trees, plowing fields, and harvesting crops. Farmville lets you create your own private oasis away from the chaos of everyday life. You have total control of how your farm looks and what crop s you choose to plant. In Farmville, the sky is always blue, the grass is always green, and the sun is always shining. It's easy to see why so many people have gotten hooked on this game. But Farmville isn't just about relaxing either. Running a farm is hard work and there's a lot to keep track of if you want your farm to prosper. The size of your farm, the rotation of the crops, and the other items you choose to incorporate will all have an effect on your overall success in this game. Spending some time in Farmville is a great way to relax, but it has its own challenges as well. Setting up your farm is also a commitment. You don't want to go to all the trouble of planting a bunch of crops only to let them wither on the vine because you didn't get back to harvest them in time. Farmville makes it necessary for you to plan ahead and consider the consequences of your planting and building decisions. But that's just part of what makes it an engaging game to play. You get to relax and be challenged at the same time, and what could be better than that? And of course, as with so many of the games you can play on social networking sites, Farmville is about connecting with your neighbors and helping them out. You can gain valuable experience and cash in the game by helping your friends with chores on their farm. Adding more neighbors also allows you access to new options for advanced play in the game. Plus, Farmville gives you a new way to connect with those people on your contact lists that you may not talk to all that often. Of course, Farmville is basically easy to play. But there are a lot of tricks and tips that can make your farm a much bigger success if you're able to implement them from the beginning. Whether you're a newcomer to Farmville or an experienced farmer, you'll no doubt get some hel pful information out of reading this guide. Getting Started When you first set foot on your farm, it will consist of six plowed patches. Two of these will have crops that are fully grown and ready to harvest, two will have crops that are half grown, and the last two will be all ready for you to plant on them. You'll also have 200 coins and 5 dollars worth of FarmVille cash in the bank. The first thing to do is start harvesting the crops that are ready for market. When you do this, you earn coin s that you can put towards plowing more land an planting more seeds. You can add as many plowed patches to your farm as you want, as long as you have the money to plow them. You can also choose which seeds to plant, but there are several things you should take into account when you make these decisions. How Big to Get Of course, the more land you have to plant on, the more money you'll make by harvesting your crops. This doesn't mean you can keep expanding your farm indefinitely though. Plowing and planting aren't free. You'll just be wasting time and money if you plow a bunch of fields and then can't afford to buy any seeds to plant in them. Therefore, you want to expand a little bit at a time so that you're able to fully take advantage of all of yo ur available acreage. The best way to maximize your growth and planning potential at first is to clear 10 more patches of land. Once you harvest the crops that were ready and waiting for you, you'll have just enough money to clear that land and plant o n it. This way, you'll have more land to grow crops on, and you'll be able to plant on all of it right away. You can, of course, clear more land right away. If you do that though, you won't have enough money left to plant any crops and a lot of the land will just sit empty. You also won't be able to plant on as may clear parcels of land as you would have if you didn't clear so many to begin with. As counter-intuitive as it may seem, if you want to get a big farm going fast, you have to take it slow. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 8 W hat to Plant The only crop options available to you at first will be strawberries, eggplant, wheat, and soybeans. Each of these crops has several different characteristics, and so different benefits. Which crop you decide to plant will have a lot to do with how often you're going to be checking on your farm, as well as how quickly you want to advance in the game. You can find a complete breakdown of each crop and its attributes at the end of this guide, but here are a few general tips to help you evaluate your options as you begin playing. Harvesting Time One of the many factors to take into account when deciding what to plant is how long you will have to wait to harvest it. Strawberries, for example, will be ready to harvest 4 hours after you plant t hem. If you don't get back to harvest them within 8 hours though, they'll wilt and you won't be able to make any money off of them. You want to make sure you're not going to be planting a bunch of crops that will wilt before you can harvest them. For instance, eggplants take 2 days to grow, so you may want to consider planting these instead of strawberries if you're not going to be checking on your farm for a while. That way, you get the best use out of your land and you get a bigger payoff at the end of the growing cycle. Crops that take longer to grow also generally sell for more coins at harvest time. Experience Another factor that will contribute to your planting decision is that different crops yield different benefits in terms of experien ce. Crops that take at least a day to grow will grant you 2 experience points for each patch of land you plant them on. Most crops take at least this long to grow to maturity, but there are some, like strawberries, that only take a few hours. These will only get you one experience point per plot of land planted. The faster you accumulate experience points, the faster you'll move up to the next level. That doesn't mean you want to only plant the crops that give you 2 experience points though. If you' re going to be able to check back on your strawberries and plant more as soon as the old ones are ready to be harvested, you can actually get more experience points in a day with these types of crops. It all depends on how well you stay on top of your pla nting and harvesting cycles. Investment Return Another factor to consider when you're deciding what to plant will be the relationship between the cost of the seeds and the price you get for your goods when you harvest them. In this context, soybeans are the best of the crops you have available to you at the start of the game. They cost only 15 coins to plant per plot of land, but you can sell your harvest for 63 coins per plot of land. This is a return of more than 4 times your initial investment, as opposed to the three and a half times return that strawberries provide. Of course, the soybeans take longer to grow than the strawberries do. Because there are so many factors that go can influence your decision about what to plant, you can see that this isn't exactly a straightforward decision. Dollar Per Hour Not only can you asses a potential crop's value by how much of a return it brings on the initial investment, but you can also evaluate its earning potential per hour. For example, strawberries take 4 hours to mature and sell for 35 coins per plot of land. Eggplants, on the other hand, take 48 hours to mature and sell for 88 coins per plot of land. This gives the strawberries a coin per hour rate of 8.75, as opposed to the eggplant's 1.83. What all of this really means is that your decision about what crops to plant will have to take into account how often you want to check back on your farm, how quickly you want to level up, and how quickly you want to be able to build up your cash stores. Putting it All Together So how do you decide what to do first as you start to work on your farm? Well, your first priority needs to be getting some cash in the bank. I'd recommend plowing an area that's 4 plots by 4 plots and planting strawberries on the entire area first, assu ming you’ll be able to check back on your farm in about 4 hours. You should have just enough coins to complete this task. You also won't have to wait too long before you can harvest your crop and start again. Strawberries don't give you the best retur n on your investment, but they do give you enough so that you'll be way ahead by the time you harvest them. At this point, you'll be able to branch out into some other types of crops. Soybeans are the best one to opt for next though. Until you can advan ce and unlock some more crops, these will give you the best return on your investment. They also only take a day to mature, so you'll be able to replant quickly and build up your experience points fast. This same basic theory will apply as you advance th rough the game and unlock more types of crops. While taking the characteristics and benefits of each crop into consideration is important, it's also very important to be realistic about how often you'll be able to check back on your farm. You can make th e best planting decisions possible, but if you don't get back to harvest your plants in time, all that careful planting will go to waste. Keeping Track As your farm gets bigger and you plant more and more different kinds of crops, you may start to lose t rack of what is planted where and when it will be ready for harvest. This is easy to do, but you can help yourself by following a few simple guidelines for planting and organization. First, it's a good idea to plant in blocks. This means that you'll h ave a symmetrical section for each type of crop. It's much easier to keep track of crops in various stages of growth if they're grouped together and not winding all over the place and around each other. For example, you may want to plant a 3 by 3 section of eggplants, adjacent to a 3 by 3 section of soybeans, and continue on like that. It's also a good idea not to plant the same type of crop at two different times. That's because it's very easy to forget about one of them and not go back to harvest un til the later one is ready. By then you may have already lost your first crop. Planting all pumpkins at one time, and then all squash the next will make it much easier for you to remember what needs to be harvested when. Rate of Rot This is especially important to keep in mind when you're planting crops that mature quickly. The window for harvesting any crop is the same as the length of time it takes that crop to grow. This means that pumpkins, since they take 8 hours to mature, will start to rot 8 hours after they're ready for harvest. You'll have to make sure you get back to your farm within 16 hours of planting your pumpkins then, in order to keep from losing them. If you think you're not going to be able to check on your farm for a while, you may want to consider planting crops like artichokes. These will take 4 days to mature, but you'll have an additional 4 days to harvest them. This is a good way to keep your farm active if you're going to be away for a while. It's also a good thing to keep in mind so that you know what kind of window you have to get back to your farm before you first crop will start to wither. Building Up Once you start to get a handle on your planting and harvesting cycles, you can begin exploring all of the other options FarmVille has to offer. As you advance in levels and build up your coin stash, you'll be able to buy more and more items for decorating and enhancing the value of your farm. Some of these are worthwhile investments, although many are just fun to play with. That's what makes this game so great, really. It allows you to play at your own pace and turn your farm into exactly what you want it to be. You can add structures, fences, animals, trees, vehicles, and many other types of decorations to your farm to give it your own personal touch. That way, when you're friends come to visit, they'll be able to see what a magnificent farmer you ar e. Animals The first animal you'll be able to buy is a chicken, followed a few levels later by a cow, and then finally a sheep. You may be able to acquire some animals before you're able to buy them though because you will always be able to receive them as gifts. You can ask your friends to give you some animals, or they may just do it all on their own. There are some animals too, like horses for instance, that you can only receive as gifts. Animals are different from crops in several ways. First of all, they cost a lot and their products sell for very little. For example, a cow will cost you 400 coins, but each time you milk it, you'll only get 6 coins from the milk you sell. Of course, you don't have to buy a new cow every time you milk one. They'll take day or so to be ready for you to milk again, and you'll get another 6 coins out of the deal. It can take a while to make a profit off of your animals, but eventually you will. It's also just fun to have them around, and you can do more than just milk them. They like to go for walks and are very happy when they get attention from you. You can also sell them if you're really strapped for cash. You won't get what you paid for them, but you'll get enough to help you out in a pinch. And if you acquired them as a gift to begin with, then selling them just gets you some free money. You also gain experience from buying animals and from selling the milk, eggs, or wool they produce. This is another good reason to invest in some animals if you want to level up fast. You do have to be careful to pen them though. Otherwise they'll wander off and you'll take a loss on your investment. Once in a while, a stray animal will wander onto your farm, and you'll be able to help them find a new home. Trees Trees work essentially the same way animals do (although they can't wander away). They cost a lot and each individual harvest of fruit doesn't sell for very much. But over time, they do pay for themselves because they start growing a new crop every t ime you harvest the old one. Plus, they're just a nice addition to your farm. There are many different kinds of trees you can buy or receive as gifts, and each of them has a different type of fruit and different characteristics. They take different lengths of time to mature, but you won't lose the fruit if you don't harvest it in a certain amount of time. Depending on your preference, you can leave the fruit there to look pretty until you really need some cash, or you can sell it as soon as it's ready and wait for more to grow. You can also sell trees just as you can farm animals. They don't fetch a great price, but it's still a good option to have if you suddenly find yourself short on cash. Once you plant a tree, you don't have to leave it in that spot forever. This is anoth er nice feature because it means that as your farm grows, you can adapt. If you find that you need the spot a tree is in for something else, you can simply relocate it. This not only saves you from having to sell a tree if it's in the way of changes yo u want to make to your farm, but it also means that you don't have to spend a ton of time deliberating about where to put each tree you buy. Just put it where you think is best at the moment. You can always change it later. Decorations There are literally dozens of items you can buy to add your own personal touch to your farm. These can be anything from outhouses, to whitewash fences, to bicycles. These items vary considerably in price and the options available to you will increase as you level up. You'll gain some measure of experience points by purchasing any of them, and they do also have some resale value. Just as with the trees and animals, you won't get nearly what you paid for a decorative item when you sell it, but it's a good option to have when you're strapped for cash. Mostly though, these items are fun to collect and place to give your farm some character. You can move them any time you want too, which gives you endless possibilities for farm layouts and looks. Buildings It can tak e a while, but eventually you'll be ready to start building on your farm. You can choose from 30 different structures, and they do get pricey. But they deliver a ton of experience, so they're a good way to keep leveling up fast once you reach the higher levels of the game. These structures can be as simple as a tool shed or well, or as substantial as a manor house. Either way, though, they add a nice touch to your farm. You want to be careful and choose the buildings that offer the most experience benefit relative to price because you will be spending so much money on them. You can also sell off your buildings later on if you don't need them or if you need money fast. They also sell for substantially less than you bought them for, but that's still a lot of cash in most cases. Vehicles Once you reach level 12 you can buy some farm vehicles to help you with the workload on your farm. Your options include a red tractor, a pink tractor, a harvester, and a seeder. These can greatly improve the efficiency of your farm, but this does come with a price. The vehicles themselves are not excessively expensive, but you'll only be able to use them as long as you have fuel for them. This means that you can wait for the fuel to fill up on its own, or you can buy fuel refills for your vehicles. And these can add up fast. The fuel refills can also only be purchased with FarmVille cash, not coins, so you'll need to consider if this is the way you want to spend this valuable currency. It's up to you to decid e whether or not you want to invest in some farm vehicles. Tractors will allow to you harvest at 4 times the speed since they can plow 4 plots of land at a time. You can certainly get the benefits of speedier harvesting and seeding, but you'll also be paying out a lot for the convenience. It's best to wait to buy these until you have a big enough farm and income to support them. You can also sell these if you decide you don't want to keep paying for their fuel, but you won't get nearly as much as you pai d for them either. Save or Spend One of the great things about FarmVille is that it's always up to you how you spend your money and use your land. All of the items that you can buy will give you some benefit in the form of experience points, so you have to decide which ones will help you the most. You can also just pick the items you like best. After all, it's your farm and you're the one who'll be spending the most quality time there. Figuring out what you want to buy can be tricky though. It'll take you a while to build up a big reservoir of coins and farm cash if you spend all of your extra money after each harvest. It's a good idea to examine all of the items you'll be able to buy and then figure out how much you'll have to save up to be able to purchase those items. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with buying a lot of the cheap items and you won't ever be able to afford the larger buildings and decorations. Cash As you start to play FarmVille, you'll have a relatively easy time accumulating coins. The FarmVille dollars are a bit harder to come by though. There's no equivalency either – you can't convert your coins to cash. You can use coins to buy most of the items in the market, but there are some items that you'll need cash to get. Coins You earn coins every time you harvest crops, fruit from trees, or goods from farm animals. You'll need some of these coins to re- plow and re - plant your fields, but after each harvest you should have some left over. You can just let your coins accumulate in your account, or you can spend them on a variety of discretionary items in the market. There are some other ways you'll get a bonus in the form of coins. You'll occasionally get a message when you log in that you won a random number of coins in the daily raffle. These messages are pr etty arbitrary, as are the amounts you win, so you can't count on them for consistent income. They're certainly a nice bonus though. You'll also earn a small bonus every time you help out one of your neighbors with their farm. If one of your neighbors hasn't been able to get to their farm for a while, you'll receive a message that they could use your help. Accepting this message will take you to their farm where they'll ask for your help with chores like pulling weeds, raking leaves, or chasing crows away. You can also go and visit your neighbor's farms on your own to see if they need any help when you're short on cash, but you can only help out each neighbor once a day. After that, you can visit all you want, but there won’t be any more chores for you to do. This is just one of the reasons it's good to have a lot of neighbors. The more neighbors you have, the more farms you can visit, and the more chores you can do for coins and experience. After all, the more access you have to coins, the more you'll be able to do on your own farm. Once you run out of money, you just have to wait for your crops to be ready to harvest, or you' ll have to find a different way of refilling your coin stores. FarmVille Cash FarmVille cash is much tougher to come by than coins are. You get 1 FarmVille dollar for every new level you reach, but it takes quite a while to earn any substantial amount of cash this way. FarmVille cash isn't vital to your ability to play the game the way that coins are, but there are some items in the market that you can't get without it. Some of the cash - only items in the market are relatively cheap and you'll have enough FarmVille cash at the lower levels to afford these. If you spend your cash in small amounts this way though, you'll never be able to accumulate enough to buy the bigger items that are available later on. It's best to save your FarmVille cash until you're sure you know what you want to spend it on. Adding Coins and Cash There is another option for increasing your available coins and FarmVille cash. You can click on the Add Farm Coins and Cash tab if you want to supplement your income a bit. In this section, you can purchase coins or cash with a credit card or paypal account. You can get a lot for a little here, and you have several options as far as how much you want to spend. If you're going to go this route though, you're better off just going for the largest package. It costs $40, but you get the most for your money this way. Better to just get all you'll need at once rather than going back often for small purchases. You'll wind up spending more in the long run if you buy small amounts of c oins or cash multiple times. It's really never worth it to buy coins this way because they're so easy to earn in the game, but if you want to buy anything substantial with FarmVille cash, you'll have to supplement your natural income. If you want a qui ck and easy way to instantly add FarmVille cash, this is probably the easiest way to go. Surveys Paying cash for FarmVille dollars isn't the only way to get them though. At the bottom of the Add Farm Coins and Cash page, you'll see multiple options for surveys and other offers that pay out FarmVille cash. Some of them cost a small amount of money, but many of them are free. This is really the best option for getting extra FarmVille cash. It's easy and you don't have to invest any real money to keep playing the game. There are a couple of drawbacks to the surveys of course, but these are relatively easy to deal with. Any survey you fill out will cause you to start getting a bunch of promotional emails. This is certainly a nuisance, but you can minimi ze it by simply setting up a new email account and using that one for all your surveys. That way you can keep the unwanted emails from cluttering up the inbox you actually use. There can also be a delay in the FarmVille cash being posted to your account. Sometimes you'll get it right away, but usually it'll take at least a day to show up. There's not much you can do about this, but if you plan ahead it really shouldn't be a problem. Just start filling out those surveys early and you'll have plenty of cash when you're ready to spend it. Ribbons Another way to get some coin bonuses is to earn one of the many ribbons available. There are actually 14 categories of ribbons, and each category has 4 levels. You’ll start out by earning the Yellow ribbon in a particular category. As you advance in that category, you’ll progress to the White, Red, and finally Blue ribbons. As your performance and farming accomplishments increase, the higher ribbons you earn will result in bigger and bigger payouts. These accomplishments span the spectrum of farm activity, so you’ll likely earn some ribbons without even meaning to. It ’s a good idea to pay attention to your ribbons though and what you need to do to earn more of them. Each time you get a ribbon, you get awarded a substantial sum of cash, as well as a hefty chunk of experience points. By clicking on the ribbon icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you can bring up a list of the available ribbons and what you personally have to do to earn the next one. The game keeps track of your progress in each individual area, so all you have to do is check back from time to time to see which ones you’re close to achieving and what you need to do to get there. The required tasks may be as simple as “harvest fruit from 8 unique trees,” or “harvest 10 unique crops.” While neither of these tasks is particularly hard to accomplish, it can play a role in determining what seeds you plant and what trees you buy. Similarly, making progress towards earning ribbons can guide your decisions on how many of which type of animal to keep and how many buildings to put up. There’s a ribbon for each of these, and so if you know what you have to do to get the ribbon, you’ll come out ahead every time. Sharing the Wealth Each time you’re awarded a ribbon, you’ll be asked if you would like to “share the wealth.” This doesn’t mean that you’l l divide up your winnings among your friends or anything like that. In fact, it won’t cost you anything at all. It will, however, make it possible for your friends to get a bonus as a result of your success. It’s always a good thing to do this because it costs you nothing and encourages your friends to return the favor. You do have to publish your accomplishment on Facebook though for your friends to be able to get the bonus. While it may not be a good idea to publish notification every time you adva nce to a new level, it is definitely worth doing it when you get a ribbon. Conversely, you’ll have to be sure and pay attention to the notifications your friends post so that you don’t miss out on any bonuses yourself. You do actually have a time limit for collecting these bonuses too, so make sure you scan your news feed for the appropriate notifications every time you log in to Facebook. Check out the Resource Lists at the end of this guide for the full listings of ribbons. Neighbors You can cert ainly work your own farm and earn enough to support yourself nicely. But if you want to be able to expand your farm, you'll need to have some neighbors. Expansion is made much easier and will cost you much less in terms of currency the more neighbors you have. Of course, since you're playing this game on a social networking site, the easiest thing to do is hit up your friends. Finding Neighbors There's no limit on the number of neighbors you can add, so it's really up to you to determine how many you think you want to have. You certainly don't need to go out and actively recruit your friends to play the game. It's very likely some of the people on your friend list play already. You can find out who by going to the My Neighbors tab when you're on your farm. From there it's very easy to send a neighbor request to anyone you know who's already started working on their farm. If you'd like to expand beyond this though, the game does provide an invitation function that allows you to send automated messages to anyone on your friend list asking them to play FarmVille with you and be your neighbor. This is a good place to start, and it's a good idea to invite everyone you know. You may very well be surprised who the most enthusiastic farmers turn out to be. Make it Personal Sending an automated message is certainly the easiest way to invite all of your friends, but it's not necessarily the most effective. If you're really serious about recruiting as many neighbors as possible, you'll want to send a more personal message to t he people you know. To do this, simply use the private message function on Facebook to send a personal invitation to each of your friends. You can use the same message for everyone, but you'll be surprised how many more people respond to a message that you wrote yourself. Once your friends have set up their own farms, you can ask them to be your neighbor. There's no limit to the number of neighbors you can add, and really, there's no reason not to add as many as you can. They'll bring you quite a few benefits over time. Forums If you're not satisfied with the neighbor count you get off of your friend list, the next place you should go is to the FarmVille Forums. You can find these by clicking on the Forum link at the bottom of the page you're on when you're playing the game. Here you'll find quite a few great FarmVille resources. One of these is a forum called ADD ME for people who are looking for neighbors. This is an excellent place to go to find more neighbors and meet people who share your in terest in the game. Most of the people you'll find on these forums are FarmVille players like you who enjoy playing and want to build up their farm as much as possible. Because you have to add someone as a friend in order to make them your neighbor thoug h, you should always be cautious. The best way to go about this is to only add one or two people you don't know at a time. This is because some of the profiles you will come across this way are spam. If you only add a few at a time, you'll know which profile to remove from your friend list if you start receiving a bunch of meaningless messages in you inbox. If you've added a bunch of strangers at once, it can be next to impossible to figure out which one to get rid of. FarmVille Forums aren't just go od for helping your find new neighbors either. They're also a great place to go to find answers to any questions you have while playing the game. Or they can be a great place to just socialize with other players, as well as a good source of information about updates and changes to game play. Even if you use them only sparingly, these forums are a great resource to keep in mind when you have problems or questions about FarmVille. Benefits of Neighbors Of course, you won't be ready to expand your farm fo r a while, but there are other reasons it's good to have neighbors. One simple one is that going and looking at the ways other people set up their farms can help you get ideas about what you want to do with your own little plot of land. Since your neighb ors will likely all be at different stages of game play, you can learn a lot just by looking at what they've done. There are other, more practical reasons to want to have a lot of neighbors as well. When you're short on cash, it's great to have the option to go and help out on your neighbors' farms to earn some money fast. You can help out each of your neighbors once a day. For the first 20 neighbors you help in a day, you'll earn 20 coins and 5 experience points each. Once you get up over 20, you'll only be earning 5 coins and 1 experience point each, but that can still add up to a lot of cash if you make a habit out of it. Having a lot of neighbors also means getting a lot of gifts. Sending gifts doesn't cost you anything, and it can be a great wa y to build up your collection of farm animals and trees early in the game. The more gifts you send to your neighbors, the more they'll be inclined to send to you (assuming they're good neighbors). The more neighbors you have, then, the more gifts you'l l get. This is really the best way to get ahead in the game fast. There are also quite a few items that you can only get if you receive it as a gift. About half of the available types of trees can only be acquired this way. Also several kinds of animals like horses, pigs, rabbits, goats, and ducks can only be gifted. They can’t be bought. Plus it's just fun to be able to play this game with your friends. It can even prove to be a good way to connect with someone on your friend list that you don't actually talk to all that often. Breaking the ice by talking about your farms or helping each other out in the game is a great and easy way to rekindle an old friendship. You can even leave notes for your neighbors on their farms when you go to visit to let them know how great you think their farming is coming along. Expanding Your Territory Once you've made the most of the plot of land you started with, you may want to spread your wings a bit and get some more space to work with. You can expand your farm incrementally from the 12 X 12 plot that you start with up until you have a 20 X 20 Plantation. You can't just jump to the 20 X 20 however. You have to buy the plots in order. This means that your first step in expanding your farm will be establi shing a Homestead. This is a 14 X 14 plot, which will give you a significant amount of added space to work with. You'll also have to have a Homestead before you can take the next expansion step and buy a 16 X 16 Family Farm. At this point, the 20 X 20 P lantation is the largest plot of land available, but at some point in the future you will be able to expand to a 22 X 22 Big Ole Plantation, and even a 24 X 24 Mighty Plantation. The reasons for wanting to expand your farm are pretty straightforward. You'll eventually max out your earning capability on your original plot of land. If you want to keep moving up and building your business, you'll need more space to work with. There's really no downside to expanding as long as you're financially stable enou gh to handle the larger space. Deciding to Expand and Weighing the Cost Expanding before you're ready can make it hard to maintain a positive cash flow. You want to make sure you'll have at least 10,000 coins in the bank after you purchase your land expansion in order to be sure you're up to the task of managing a larger farm. Once you decide you're ready to expand though, you'll need to be able to pay for the extra land. There are actually two ways you can do this, but neither of them is particula rly cheap. If you have enough neighbors, you can pay in coins. If you don't have as many neighbors as is required for the plot of land you want to buy, you'll have to pay in FarmVille cash. For example, the 14 X 14 Homestead can be bought for 10,000 coi ns as long as you have at least 8 neighbors to help you with construction. If you don't have that many neighbors, you can also buy the Homestead for $20 in FarmVille cash. Since the coins are so much easier to come by than the cash, you'll be wise to try and recruit those few extra neighbors so you can pay in coins. You may think that $20 FarmVille cash isn't that much in the grand scheme of things. You'll need $20 more each time you want to expand though. So if you want to expand fast, you either have to have a lot of FarmVille dollars on hand or you'll have to seek out some new neighbors. Even the largest plot of land currently available only requires that you have 16 neighbors. This isn't a particularly large number when you think about it, and it will save you a lot of money in the long run if you just go out and recruit some friends to help you. It really isn't as hard as it might seem to get people to be your neighbors either because they don't actually have to do anything to help you. All they have to do is open the application and set up their character. After that, they never have to come back to their farm again. Once your friends know this, they may be more inclined to help you out. Conclusion One of the best things about FarmVille is that it doesn’t matter if you’re very involved in it and log in all the time, or if you just feel like doing some occasional hoeing and seeding. It’s still a great way to spend some time and catch up with fellow farmers. Chances are though, once you start farming, you’ll have a hard time resisting the urge to check on your farm as often as possible. The endless possibilities for rearranging and building on your farm make FarmVille a very engaging game to play. You can check out the new structures and decorations you’ll want to build on your farm, and then work your land until you have enough money to pay for them. Just remember to plan ahead and you’ll do just fine. Success in FarmVille is really mostly the result of common sense. You need to be su re to always weight your options and spend your money wisely. That way you’ll be able to afford the things you really want later on. And remember to always be good to your neighbors. The benefits they give you are immeasurable. You can succeed in FarmV ille without neighbors, but it’s infinitely harder to accomplish the things you want to quickly. This guide is designed to be a good resource that can help you make wise decisions about how to spend your money and time in FarmVille. It’s always a good idea to check out the forums and stay up to date on any new changes or developments in the game because it’s still in Beta. I have no doubt that once you get your hands into that soil once or twice, you’ll be hooked on FarmVille for a long time. Ultimately, peas will be the best crop to plant, but it’ll take you a while to reach a high enough level to be able to plant them. Almost every new level you reach will unlock one more type of seed for you to try. This doesn’t mean the new seed is necessarily better than what you were already planting though, so you’ll have to reevaluate your options each time you decide to re -plant. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 35 Best Seeds in Earnings Per Week Assuming Crops are Harvested At Maximum Efficiency These earnings take into account the cost of ploughing (15coins), this is very important since crops with shorter harvesting times must be ploughed more times giving many players an “invisible” cost. Also remember that every time you plough you also gain more experience, so do not be mislead with crops such as raspberry which give no exp, because they end up giving you the same exp as 4 hr crops when the experience gained from ploughing is also taken into consideration. 1. If you’re going to be focusing on acquiring trees and harvesting them regularly, you may want to keep each type i n its own section. This way it will be easier to keep track of which ones will be ready to harvest and when. Of course, you can also choose to spread them around and mix them up to get the most out of their distinctive colors and appearances. You can also adopt stray animals that wander onto your friends’ farms. This even includes the occasional black sheep. It’s a good idea to stay all of your animals unless they’re penned in though. Otherwise, they may wind up wandering away themselves. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 40 Some decorations will be locked until you reach the higher levels of the game, but many will be open to you from the beginning. There are also quite a few decorations that can only be purchased with FarmVille dollars. It’s a good idea to look through the available items in the market from time to time and pick out the cash only items that you’re interested in. That way, you’ll be able to save up for the things you really want and avoid splurging on something else you don’t really need. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 41 Ribbons Lo cal Celebrity – To earn this ribbon, you have to acquire as many neighbors as you can. To get the Yellow ribbon, for example, you need to have 4 neighbors. You’ll need to get up to 50 to earn the Blue. Good Samaritan – You can get this ribbon by doing a s many chores as possible for your neighbors on their farms. Since you can only help each neighbor once a day, it will take you a while to get this ribbon if you don’t have a lot of neighbors. You have to do 50 chores for the Yellow ribbon, and you won’t get the Blue until you’ve helped your neighbors 1500 times. Better get to work! High Roller – To get this ribbon, all you need to do is earn money. Since that’s what you’re trying to do anyway, this shouldn’t be too difficult. You’ll start out with th e Yellow ribbon once you’ve made 50,000 coins. To get the Blue ribbon, you have to reach 1 million coins. (This is over the entire time you’ve been playing the game. You don’t have to have it in the bank all at once.) A Pretty Penny – You get these rib bons by spending that hard earned currency. Again, this is something you’ll be doing naturally as you play the game, so you don’t have to focus too much on it. You’ll get your Yellow ribbon when you’ve spent 50,000 coins, and your Blue ribbon will come a t the 1.5 million coin mark. Cream of the Crop – This ribbon is a reward for harvesting massive amounts of crops. Of course, you’ll earn all of these ribbons eventually through normal game play as well. But if you want to acquire these ribbons faster, you can invest some time in planting and harvesting Raspberries over and over again. Since these crops grow so fast, you’ll make it to your Blue ribbon in no time. Knock on Wood – You earn these ribbons by harvesting fruit from your trees. The more trees you harvest, the more ribbons you’ll get. It doesn’t matter what kinds of trees they are – they can even be all the same. You just have to remember to keep harvesting them as soon as they’re ready and you’ll be all set. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 42 Zoologist – These ribbons are rewarded as a result of collecting goods from animals. The more animals you have on your farm, the easier it will be to get these ribbons. Just like with the trees, don’t forget to collect from your animals as soon as they’re ready, and you’ll have no problems bringing home these ribbons. Architect – As the name suggests, you earn these ribbons for putting up buildings on your farm. The more buildings you can set up, the more Architect ribbons you’ll be taking home. Pack Rat – All you have to do to earn these ribbons is decorate your farm. Of course , you’ll be limited to a certain degree by lack of empty space, but just keep squeezing the small decorations on there and you’ll be collecting these ribbons in no time. Animal Shelter – These ribbons are a reward for your kindness to lost animals. When your friends find stray animals on their farm, you’ll have a chance to help them out by adopting the animals. Of course, this never hurts you to do because it’ll mean more goods for you to sell, and you’ll earn ribbons as you go which isn’t so bad either. Green Thumb – This ribbon is awarded as a result of your growing a certain number of different crops. The more variety you have on your farm, the quicker you’ll be able to collect these ribbons. Tree Hugger – You get this ribbon by harvesting multiple different kinds of trees. That makes it a little different from the Knock on Wood ribbon because you are able to earn that one by harvesting fruit from one kind of tree exclusively. You’ll have to have just a bout every type of tree on your farm in order to get to the Blue ribbon in this category. Noah’s Ark – You earn these ribbons by collecting products from as many different types of animals as you can. You’ll be able to get the Yellow ribbon on your own, but after that, you’ll need some friends to send you the animals that can only be gifted. Otherwise you’ll never be able to diversify enough to get to the Red or Blue ribbons in this category. Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 43 Not Spoiled, Gifted! – It might not be fair to say you earn t hese ribbons. Really it’s your friends who do all the work. These ribbons are a reward for having a certain number of unique items in your Gift Box. The more different types of gifts you receive, the more ribbons you’ll earn. Leveling Light Speed Here is a trick only a few people know about Farmville but can help your farm grow immensely. Before I reveal the secret you must understand a few things about why leveling fast is good: 1. The faster you level, the more access you get to higher end crops, you will notice if you scroll up to earnings per week of each crop (page 35) , many of the crops with the highest earnings are only obtainable at the highest levels. 2. It is also important to notice, that many of the highest earning crops also have very generous harvesting times, take sunflowers for instance, which only need to be harvested and ploughed once per day and compare them with raspberries, which need to be harvested and replanted every 2 hours. Not only do the sunflowers give you more coins per hour, you are also doing only 1/12 of the work compared with raspberries. This is very important since it will make your schedule much more flexible, and save you huge chunks of time. This is why I advocate leveling as fast as possible till you can reach a cro p that earns good exp/week but at the same time has a long harvesting time so you can relax. 3. Cosmetic Purposes – If you’re playing Farmville to impress your friends and make your farm grand and beautiful, you want to make sure you have access to all the t hings Farmville has to offer. You wouldn’t want to be stuck with tons of coins but unable to buy that villa just because you’re level is low. 4. Higher Level = More land = More Crops = Faster Leveling = More Coins/More Free time As you progress throughout Farmville the plot of land available to you also increases. This means you can plant more crops, earn more coins, earn more experience, and save you time! What a game breaker! Farmville Secrets www.FarmVilleSecrets.com Page 50 The Secret to Leveling Faster If you have played Farmville for quite some time you have probably come into a situation where your farm really isn’t leveling as fast as you would like, and are slowly stockpiling thousands and thousands of coins. Whenever I check through my friends Farmville’s and see this happening I will always take the time to give them some friendly advice. Basically, if there is a huge stockpile of gold that isn’t being spent there should only be one reason. This is only done when a player is saving for something expensive such as the million dollar villa. To b e put simply, if you have loads of money in the bank, and you’re not saving for something, it’s being wasted! If this is you, the following trick will really bring your farm to new heights: 1. Calculate the amount of coins needed to plant and plough your desired crops. This amount should be kept with you at all times in case your current crops wilt and you receive no income from harvesting them. If you are VERY SURE (EXTRA STRESS ON THIS POINT) that you will be able to harvest your crops in time. 2. To Calculate t he amount of coins you will need, first find out the size of your farm (eg 14x14), next choose what crop you will be planting next (eg Tomatoes).
